Sparkling Queen Sac mate

To be honest, I don’t support the USCL nearly enough. Maybe it’s because their logos aren’t that great, their marketing is non-existent, and I’m not sure how to attend a match. Having said that, this evening, I was perusing the New York Knights blog and came across this absolutely beautiful game, in which white wins in study like fashion, mating with a queen sacrifice and geometric rundlauf with his bishop. That Marc Esserman achieved the winning position in a mere 22 moves makes the following game all the more impressive. Note the diamond pattern that the bishop tracks, infiltrating on h7, giving check on g8, giving check again on f7, and revealing mate on g6. Simply stunning chess.
