It was a packed house last night at the Marshall Chess Club, with 71!! entries into the 4 rated games Super Grand Prix. Thank you fellow Brooklynites (you know who you are) who came out to do battle.
Also present, was the hip astrophysicist Neal deGrasse Tyson, who is as friendly in real life as he is on the daily show.
Also competing in the tournament was the new Marshall Chess Club President, Stuart Chagrin, who is a genius on the board as he is genial off the board. His rating is a respectable 1907 and here he is calmly focusing on the board as he crushes Sam Barsky, who has an elo of 2154.
Boris Izrayelit finished with 2 points! This game is one in which he lost to Kopiecki- better luck next time with the upset prize Boris.
